my blog has such a thick layer of cobwebs and dust that navigating around has been sticky at best.
that, together with the malfunction that i discovered last month (Xi did not detect anything wrong though. . which makes me wonder~~) and of course a little surfing through BlogSkins, led to my new skin^^ what do you all think?
its a little simple and i just finished doing a LOT of tweaking around with the layout capacities. luckily Xi helped.. i am not sure if i will add music player in here just yet.. maybe next time. do you guys think i should add one though? the last player malfuctioned.. =(( so i might need to surf around for another new player.. any recommendations?
the other things that i have been doing recently,
1)taking my driving license. more like failing it actually.. XD the first 'hill' part by the way, was my weak point. you get two attempts. the first where i failed to fulfill the quota. and the second where i exceeded the quota. therefore, am required to resit in another fortnight if i want my license at all. *sigh* this is definitely no fun at all..
2)i found a new game!!! (well, new to me anyway)
ransacking my brother's room can be very rewarding indeed! (it is true that you probably need to wade through the mess. so think twice. .) someone gave him this as a gift and i am passing time trying to finish all the puzzles. this is seriously an interesting game. anyone knows where i can get another set? the brochure also advertised another more challenging set..
3) our family celebrates the Hungry Ghost Festival without fail every year. i think i missed it for the first time last year. while we are hardly superstitious, this is just tradition C= and not to be missed.
normally, we kids pitch in. but Xin has tuition and so does Qi. so that leaves me with mum and dad. and we are not the only family burning incense, candles and setting offerings that night! our neighbour were too..
it was pretty windy that night. but no worse than the night before i guessed, where we had cats and dogs raining. and how do you light a candle in the wind? *grin*
not without a few tricks from mum!
dad lights the paper 'money'. mum folded the whole batch a few days ahead. its some sort of origami which i never quite mastered. lolx.
as you can probably guess, with such a strong wind, the bonfire did not take a lot of work nor time. =))) 5 minutes maxx and all was left is wet carbon (dad watered the whole thing afterwards).
don't think tradition hurt the grass in front of the house. we do this EVERY year and they are still there. if anything, i'd say they're thriving.. XDDDD
right, i want my lunch now.. so more updates later.. maybe..
in the light of my veryyyy super awful results, i need remedial Bio and Chem at home..
(thank goodness that does not include integration by parts and differentiation with two variables!!!)
and because of my chosen uni, i am supposed to self-study the language as well.
that does not include the shopping and packing that i have yet to start.. gaaahhhh~~
