Dear Diary: subtle strains

no exam today, so i slept 10 hours straight. horrible right? which normal teen sleeps that long.. gosh.
i don't know why, but i was so darn tired, i just collapsed for the night. sure, my alarm 'attempted' to wake up. didn't work. lolx.

singing practice today with elise and the guys.
i was so depressed the night before. did you hear the videos they posted on FB? oh my god, it is seriously horrible. i felt like i was torturing my ear drums when i had to listen. how did they stand us at all in the studio? 5 times in total, imagine. even a couple of times listening to the recording is more than i can take. *swt* sheryn thought that i was trying to sing a lullaby to make her sleep. *nods* it is that bad. as for me, i thought that someone was getting strangled when i heard it.

today, i walked all the way up to the guys' house (nothing new. used to do it during AS exam period.) and waited for elise.
she was going to make me walk ALL THE WAY DOWN when i JUST came up. simply to WALK HER UP AGAIN. oh so very funny. i did not. luckily, Jie did that for me.. *thankfulll...*

david, the scary drummer..

studio practice was planned in the afternoon, but since the studio is not open, we ended up in David's house instead.. i am not so sure if this is a good thing, but then he sure gave some good tips and ideas. err, okay okay, more like Forced us to Sing better will be more accurate.
i can sense him eyeing us from across the practise room.. *swt swt* err, it was 'a little', uh, 'painful'? but thanks man.. that was some help.

and another highlight.
chalid Finally told us the reason he picked the song. and HIS interpretation of the song. that made it so much easier to sing and synchronise with his music, okay?

from our practise the other day.. the 'vegetable' recording.. *shudder*

overall, they tell me that there is improvement. starting to have SOME feeling. *i have no idea what that means* who knows what will happen with the mic though. yes, because david's house did not have a mic. you are looking the singer who sang without a mic today. try doing that in a room with the complete drum set, a bass guitar, guitar plus upright piano all performing at once.
david says that he could hear us over all that. *gosh* i cannot even hear myself properly all the time.. *geez*

and hence the need for Snowflake after that. Jie, Elise and me went through two bowls between us. after the try with a higher key, my throat felt like someone just sanded it. *horrible* vegetable..

nevermind, i am going to go worry about my chem4 first. whatever else can come later.
