Lego Magic

my 10 year old sister made this. well, with manuals of course, but the point is, she had the patience that i lacked. (i still do not have it..) the last time i even touched this was due to immense boredom. but she completed this.. err, like about 5 times at least??
there are another two designs that can be created with this set, but she 'destroyed' the one that she made when i came home. lolx..

anyway, this thing struck my fancy when i was looking at it. it got me thinking of all the shiny silver ones that they sell in the shops. generally speaking, those are beautiful.
but this one that my sister built, it is powered by this cunningly designed motor..(yes. this plastic ferris wheel moves..) it is not elegant like those that they sell outside, and only if you look closer will you know how to appreciate it.. lolx..

i know how long she took to construct this.. and i think i am also pretty clear as to the effort and time she put into this 'thing'. is it not just anything now. it is something she made with her own hands and will.. given her age, i find it pretty amazing.. XD

so, let's take this gondola as a checkpoint.

and whee~ the gondola goes up! ahahaha.. the motor is slow, so this suits the essence of a ferris wheel^ ^ this is how the view is like from up there =)


with a little bit of patience and determination, Lego blocks can be magic..
