had our 2nd LAN-MS class today.. it sux like hell.. was the lousiest class i ever had!!! OMFG, i can't tell you how frustrating it was.. it was like the teacher couldn't even clarify what he wanted from us properly.. he tells us to sit alternately, to stop us talking.. ("use body language" um, yeah, sir.. right.. let's see you teach that way.. go on, try!!!) then he wants us to discuss this topic.. how do you expect us to do that?? he let us get together.. but the time was in adequate i feel.. and you can't really do much brainstorming with his voice blaring out from the speakers so loudly.. i find his voice really annoying and distracting.. um, kinda like that squeaky whiny voice, you know.. imagine that on a fully grown male.. feel sick yet??
in the first class, he told us that we need to work hard and listen to him cos we need to score for this bloody subject.. "its very important for when you need to get into Medic university!!"we did too badly for our LAN-MORAL that we need to do better this time.. then, today, he said that his superior gave him our class cos we are supposed to be the best.. we did spectacularly for our LAN-MORAL.. so?? what is he trying to say really?? did we do badly or well?? how can the results change overnight?? unless he was telling us porkies~
then, the taking n0tes part..
"you need to have note-taking skills!! i am trying to help you!! so should listen to me!! you must learn how to mind-map! this is important for university! you have to learn how to make short notes! only 20-30 words!!"
i didn't mind that.. i knew all that without him telling us, alright?? but then, he gave this note paper that we are supposed to use to take notes.. like reports, so that he can check.. need to hand it back to him.. okay, i'm fine with that.. then,
"you will need to photostate it.. 4 pages for each of the classes we have together.. one for the cover and the mind-map"
um, whatever happened to SHORT NOTES OF ONLY 20-30 WORDS?? what are we going to put in the other 3 pages?? are we supposed to elaborate?? and if i am paying close attention, he tends to go offtrack all the time when talking.. he'd jump here and there.. i don't mind this part.. but how can he ask for totally different things from one minute to the next??!? i find it mildly upsetting.. and we are supposed to feel a lot of change after 10 weeks of class with him.. um, yeah, right.. the only change i will feel is probably annoyance boredom..
most dramatic moment, he threatens us with things like deducting our marks and him walking out.. all for the most trivial and silly reasons with no concrete point.. seriously, is he just kidding around?? Ms.Patma taught us fairly and she may be strict, but her actions are all justified.. but this guy?? uh, sorry.. so not.. he won't even tell us his NAME!!! c'mon, please.. how are we supposed to address you then?? ever thought of that?? then, this other guy from another class challenges his authority.. i am not saying that what the guy did was justified.. he should not have talked back to the instructor.. but to be fair, this new instructor handled it very badly.. Ms.Patma handled the only one occurence of such an incident with such calm and cool that it never happened ever again in her class..
so, conclusion, wish me luck.. hope i survive this "amazing" subject.. and why we need to do this is a mystery to me.. the TARC students don't even do MORAL much less this.. (so they tell me lar~) but i think i am not the only one taking this badly.. cos according to one of out other subject lecturers, most of them don't get along so much with our LAN instructors.. lol~ cos they are all in different staffrooms mah! haha.. i'll probably regale you ppl much more "interesting" slip-ups and tales if he keeps this up.. think i ought to thank him personally?? *wink* he gave me such interesting things to talk about here!!! kakakakaka
